How to make your own linen spray

Last week, I made my first batch of homemade linen spray. I used to be a big Febreeze user in my house, but since I have stopped using chemical cleaning products at home, I needed a good alternative for my drapes, couch and cushions. So here it is.

  • 2 tbs of vodka or witch hazel (I used witch hazel distillate, cause the idea of spraying vodka on my stuff made me cringe)
  • 20 drops of essential oils (I used 3/4 lavender and 1/4 sweet orange – make sure not to use too much
  • distilled water
It’s a very simple process really. Add the vodka or witch hazel and essential oils in a spray bottle. Make sure it is one of those atomizer bottles that will mist water and not just spray it out. Mine is about 500ml. The fill the bottle with distilled water. Shake well and put aside for 48 hours, to give it a chance to set. Then spray to your heart’s content!
